3. You should put the shorter golf clubs at the lower compartment of the bag. These short irons would include the 8 and the 9 irons. It would also include the sand and the pitching wedge.
4. The middle sized and the long irons should be held by the compartment in the middle of the bag. Normally that would include the 2 and 6 irons.
5. The top of the bag should be reserved for the woods and any hybrids that you might be using at the time. That is where you ought to place the putter as well so that it does not get banged against the irons which can cause damage to it.
